The World Dive Bar Tour shall this week travel into the largely uncharted terrain east of the mystic LA river for a visit to a place called "Footsies". This playful name is grounded in a bar that features classy portraits of female nudes (no bush) on the walls, and despite having over twenty different varieties of lamps, manages to remain, as a point of pride, one of the darkest joints the tour will visit — a perfect environment for some playful flirting with the eccentric cast of regulars.

Park in the well-hidden back parking area and step through the assortment of broken chairs and barbecues into this no-frills bar, which features a single pool table, plenty of comfortable seating options, a jukebox packed with The World Dive Bar Tour’s Greatest Hits, and a fine selection of liquors and bottled beers (keg refrigeration capabilities are not found in the badlands east of the river). On a sad note, the notice out front states that the establishment is applying for renovations including a dance-floor and DJ area, so enjoy Footsies this week, while you can, before the hipster menace jumps the mighty river and runs wild all the way to the Mississippi.
